What the site provides

Tech SolarEnergy provides general information about solar power, and estimates of solar system sizes with parts lists, based on historical weather data and published product specifications. The information is for planning only.

Not professional advice

Our results do not replace advice from a qualified electrician or installer. They are not engineering or legal advice. Solar and battery systems involve electrical, fire and safety risks. Electrical rules differ by country and region (for example the NEC in the US and BS 7671 in the UK). You are responsible for having any installation designed, checked and carried out in line with the rules that apply to you.

Accuracy and prices

We work carefully and state our sources, but we cannot guarantee that estimates, specifications or other information are complete, current or free of errors. Weather varies from year to year, and manufacturers can change products without notice, so always check the manufacturer's current datasheet and instructions before you buy or install. Any price class on this site is a rough estimate, and the price at the shop is the one that counts.

Products and shops

We do not sell products. You buy from other companies under their own terms, prices and return policies. Some links on this site are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure).

Liability

To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
